The forces of allegoresis

Our proposition is to understand allegory as a procedure or an action of saying and doing, and not as a figure of eloquence or plastic production. In this sense we prefer to speak of allegoresis to refer to a singular practice, never absolutely finished, and to the research of its critical and inventive forces or powers. The research in this article takes the constructivist sketch Our north is the South, of the Uruguayan painter Joaquín Torres García, as the object of its critique.
