Abstract

This article analyzes the transformations of the concept of territory of the Iku (Arhuaco) people in the context of the Colombian armed conflict. The aim is to point out the impossibility of musealizing the territory from the epistemology of the indigenous people of Sierra Nevada Gonawindúa (Santa Marta). Likewise, the role of time is observed in two dimensions. The first is the conceptualization of time in Iku cosmogony. The second is the way time affects the relationship of the indigenous community members with non-indigenous subjects.
